Exhibition
Cold weapons
From to
Town of Fontainebleau
Modalités : Free entrance
This exhibition pays tribute to Louis Prost, a collector of antique weapons that he bequeathed to the Town of Fontainebleau in 1973. A master of arms like his father, who was raised in Fontainebleau, Louis Prost inherited the private collection, unique in France. He kept his passion alive, carefully preserving and completing his extraordinary collection of more than two thousand pieces, most of which date back to the First and Second Empires and the Restoration. All his life he was a "man of weapons" and this exhibition pays tribute to him. Beyond the military function, this exhibition will have you discover the artistic spirit behind it.
