Since 1921, the American Art Schools of Fontainebleau have been welcoming young musicians from all over the world to pass on French culture and promote the influence of France worldwide. With the famous "American Conservatory" and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, the Academy of Art Schools brings together a team of prestigious musicians recognised for their artistic and academic talents.
The Château de Fontainebleau and the American Art Schools, under the artistic direction of cellist Diana Ligeti, have turned this summer academy into a genuine festival of excellence, working towards creation and targeting all types of audience.
In 2021, the American Art Schools of Fontainebleau will be celebrating their centenary. As part of the July music festival, two concerts will be especially dedicated to Napoleon I:
- On 15th July: Schoenberg, "Ode to Napoleon".
