As part of the bicentenary of the death of Napoleon I, the Seine-et-Marne Department is giving carte blanche to sculptor Jean Gaudaire-Thor for an indoor and outdoor installation-art display.
The exhibition, which includes paintings and drawings, will display a selection of works inspired by the Emperor's epic.
A painter, a sculptor and a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Métiers d'Art de Paris, Jean Gaudaire-Thor has taken part in numerous group and solo exhibitions both in Europe and the United States. Since 2003, he has produced nearly 400 works, photographs, works on paper and on canvas based on the legendary and poetic world of Arthur Rimbaud.
