An artistic light show of a historical nature will be projected upon the façade of the Château du Martroy Chauconin-Neufmontiers, which is currently owned by the descendants of Pierre Daru, who was Napoleon's minister.
On 17th and 18th September, as part of the 2021 European Heritage Days, the Château de Martroy will be displaying a sound and light show and a concert-reading!
From the end of August to October 2021, the Town of Fontainebleau will be displaying flags and decorations to mark the bicentenary of the death of Napoleon I.
As part of the music festival in July and the centenary of the American Art Schools of Fontainebleau, two concerts will be especially dedicated to Napoleon I this summer. The second will take place on 21st July.
The library of Napoleon I in the Château de Fontainebleau will reopen to the public in May 2021, the year of the bicentenary of the death of the Emperor. A guided tour will be organised to mark the occasion.
